2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
a) Account Information
- When you use the app without signing in, we create an anonymous Firebase account — no email or name is collected.
- If you choose to link your account via Google Sign-In, we receive your Google display name, email address, and profile photo URL.
- You may optionally set a username and upload a profile photo.
b) User-Generated Content
- Quotes and quote card images you create and publish.
- Community posts, images, and videos you upload to community feeds.
- Comments you write on other posts.
- Gratitude journal entries (private — only you can read them).
- Mood check-in records (private — only you can read them).
c) Usage Data
- Daily login streaks, XP level, and coin balance.
- Which quotes you view, like, share, or comment on.
- Ambient sound sessions and breathing exercise usage.
- App open events and screen navigation (via Firebase Analytics).
d) Device Information
- Device model, operating system version, and language settings — collected automatically by Firebase.
- Push notification token (for sending daily motivation reminders).
e) Advertising Data
- The app shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and usage data to serve relevant ads. See AdMob's privacy policy for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the app's features.
- To personalize your experience (daily quotes, affirmations, leaderboard).
- To send daily motivational push notifications (you can disable this in device settings).
- To manage your coin balance and streak rewards.
- To display your public profile, quotes, and community posts to other users.
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, or violations of our Terms.
- To analyze app usage and improve performance via Firebase Analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

5. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which comply with industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.
We use Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access to our backend. Access to your personal data is restricted using Firebase Security Rules — for example, your gratitude journal and mood entries are only accessible by your own account.
While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely immune to breaches. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Google account.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account.
- Public content (quotes, community posts, comments) remains visible until you delete it.
- Private data (gratitude journal, mood log) is retained until you delete your account.
- Coin history is kept for the 50 most recent transactions.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at sarathbb598@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
Daily Motivation Quotes is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data (via your profile settings in the app).
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of push notifications (via device Settings → Notifications).
- Opt out of personalized ads (via device Settings → Privacy → Advertising).
